Frontrunning attack called 'CPIMP' targeting BSC wallets; affected contract identified with attacker address and transaction hash provided.
Security & Exploits ·
A frontrunning attack dubbed "CPIMP" has targeted wallets on the Binance Smart Chain, according to an onchain message flagging the incident. The attack manipulated transaction ordering to steal funds before victim transactions executed. The message identified a victim proxy contract at 0x6FaC28f70D996b0497f132F1A41D349B39691AC7 and attributed the attack to address 0x3dA435fc3331b87B68576334367D017F95247aeC, with the attack transaction hash also provided.
Frontrunning attacks of this type exploit knowledge of pending transactions in the mempool, allowing attackers to insert their own transactions ahead to capture value or drain assets. The CPIMP variant appears to target BSC-based contract interactions, with the attacker able to execute their transaction before the victim's order completed.
No details have been published yet regarding the scope of affected users, total funds lost, or whether the targeted contract has been formally audited or patched. The status of broader defensive measures or a post-incident investigation remains unclear.
