An onchain message sent to an address holding NFTs from the PPV2 exploit requests the return of stolen assets to facilitate victim restitution. The sender, identified as an exploit recovery coordinator, notes that the recipient has already agreed to return over 800 APUs and appeals for the remaining NFTs to be sent back.
The coordinator proposes listing returned NFTs on nftsaresafu.xyz with a donation mechanism, allowing holders to receive ETH from recovering victims in exchange for asset repatriation. The September 25 exploit appears to have distributed a substantial volume of NFTs across multiple wallets, with recovery efforts now underway to reunite assets with their original owners.
It remains unclear how many additional NFTs the recipient holds, whether the appeal will result in further returns, or what total volume remains outstanding across all affected addresses.
