Bybit adds direct access to U.S. stocks and ETFs, expanding beyond cryptocurrency trading.
Tech & Launches ·
Bybit has opened direct access to over 1,000 U.S. stocks and exchange-traded funds for eligible users, marking an expansion into traditional equity markets alongside its cryptocurrency offerings. The service integrates with users' existing Unified Trading Accounts and permits fractional-share purchases starting at $5, with zero commission on trades. Users maintain full voting rights and receive cash dividends and stock splits on holdings.
Trading is conducted through the platform's familiar interface using USDC as the settlement currency, with nearly 24/5 market access and TradingView charting tools. Bybit notes that the service provides real ownership of underlying securities rather than derivatives exposure. U.S. securities clearing and custody are handled by Alpaca Securities LLC, a FINRA/SIPC member, while Infra Capital Limited operates as the introducing broker under Mauritius Financial Services Commission regulation.
Access remains limited to users who have completed identity verification level 2 and maintain accounts in good standing. Product availability varies by jurisdiction due to regulatory constraints, and Bybit has reserved the right to modify terms without advance notice. The extent of adoption and whether additional markets will be added remain unannounced.
