Etherscan launches Flow, a tool for visualizing transaction histories and fund movements with onchain verification for investigation purposes.
Tech & Launches ·
Etherscan has launched Flow, a tool that visualizes transaction histories by mapping fund movements across entities and displaying each step verified against onchain data. Users can construct a flow manually or prompt an agent to build one using the Etherscan Flow skill, which integrates with live Etherscan API data and outputs a case file importable at https://etherscan.io/flow. The tool is accessible via command-line setup and supports agent-driven tracing of transaction hashes across multiple chains.
Flow demonstrates capability through investigation examples, including a RedSonic Vault exploit where approximately 9.25 ETH was drained through a flash-loan-based share-price manipulation using Balancer and Lido, and a separate case tracing 5.9436 ETH across multiple depositors and SAFEs. The tool can also profile addresses to identify patterns such as searcher bot activity and fund distribution across contracts, with all findings grounded in Etherscan API queries rather than independent verdicts.
Saved flows are editable as working copies or publishable as read-only snapshots shareable via URL, with roles, labels, and notes generated as AI inference over public API data. The extent of Flow's adoption and whether it will expand beyond manual and agent-assisted modes remains to be seen.
