Hinkal has launched a private cross-chain bridge powered by LI.FI, enabling users to transfer funds across six blockchain networks while maintaining confidentiality around their identity, transaction counterparties, and transfer amounts. The bridge integrates LI.FI's infrastructure to facilitate these transfers.
The mechanism allows fund movement between chains without exposing typical transaction metadata. By routing transfers through LI.FI's cross-chain layer, Hinkal aims to preserve user privacy across multiple blockchain environments where transfers would normally be publicly visible on-chain.
Questions remain about which six chains are supported, the technical architecture enabling privacy preservation at the bridge level, transaction costs, and whether the privacy guarantees extend to on-chain settlement or only the bridging process itself.
