Ebitts, an Italy-based platform, has launched on Algorand to tokenize renewable energy capacity from solar and wind farms. The integration allows customers to own tokenized shares of that capacity and receive benefits from its energy output.
The partnership represents a use case for Algorand's layer-1 blockchain in real-world asset tokenization. By operating on a distributed ledger, the platform can enable fractional ownership of renewable energy infrastructure while automating settlement and ownership transfers without traditional intermediaries.
