Plume launches nBND, a tokenized vault backed by Fidelity Total Bond ETF, expanding on-chain fixed-income exposure beyond short-duration assets.

Plume has introduced nBND, a tokenized vault backed by Fidelity Total Bond ETF, extending on-chain fixed-income access beyond the short-duration Treasury and money-market products that have dominated the sector. The vault structure enables cryptocurrency-native investors to gain exposure to a broader bond portfolio encompassing longer-duration and actively managed debt instruments.
The launch marks an expansion of Plume's tokenized asset infrastructure into fixed-income segments that require more complex underlying management. By tying nBND to FBND, the offering bridges traditional bond market infrastructure with blockchain settlement, allowing holders to maintain exposure to investment-grade and emerging market debt on-chain.
It remains unclear what custodial or governance arrangements support the vault, how redemption mechanics function, and what fee structure applies to nBND holders relative to direct FBND ownership.
