Pump Fun launches Pump Bridge, a cross-chain solution claiming 2x faster trade execution.
Tech & Launches ·
Pump.fun has launched Pump Bridge, a cross-chain trading infrastructure claiming substantially faster execution than the Relay service currently used by competitors. According to performance comparisons, Pump Bridge achieves roughly 2x faster transaction speeds, with the fastest 10% of trades completing in 1.23 seconds versus Relay's 2.75 seconds. The platform also reports 92% fewer buy errors and improved token fills—users receive approximately 17% more tokens per dollar spent compared to Relay trades.
The speed and error reduction claims rest on a randomized test conducted within the Pump.fun app from late September through early October, comparing 383,326 timed trades and 416,669 trade outcomes across multiple blockchain networks including Solana, BSC, Base, Arc, and Ink. On Relay, roughly 1 in 9 cross-chain buys encounter errors; on Pump Bridge, that rate drops to fewer than 1 in 100. Transaction costs remain undefined—Pump Bridge currently charges no additional bridging fees, though the company notes it will continue development efforts to approach theoretical speed limits.
Key open questions include whether the performance advantage will hold as transaction volume scales post-launch, how long Pump Bridge will sustain zero bridging fees, and whether competing platforms will adopt similar optimizations. The test data has been made public for independent verification, though real-world performance under production conditions remains to be observed.
