Pyth has been approved as an external distributor to deliver Nasdaq Basic, the exchange's real-time quotation and trade product covering U.S. equities. The data will be distributed through Pyth's Data Marketplace, allowing clients to license Nasdaq Basic directly from Nasdaq while using Pyth as their provider—subject to prior written approval from Nasdaq.
Nasdaq Basic delivers top-of-book pricing for all U.S. exchange-listed securities, including best bid and offer with size, last sale data from Nasdaq venues and FINRA/Nasdaq reporting, and official opening and closing prices. The product serves brokerages, banks, fintech platforms, and consumer investing applications seeking real-time U.S. equity data without the cost of consolidated alternatives. Pyth's Data Marketplace provides a software and blockchain-native channel for publishers to retain attribution and commercial control while reaching modern financial applications.
The arrangement extends Nasdaq's decade-long strategy of widening access to its data. Pyth frames the partnership as part of its broader effort to build "the price of everything" by acquiring and distributing unique datasets through its Data Marketplace.
