Zcash developers plan to scale private transactions to 50,000 per second by integrating Tachyon code into more efficient private-payment software.

Zcash developers released Udon, a component that integrates parts of their Project Tachyon scaling upgrade into Zakura Common, a cryptography library used across the network to create and verify private transactions. The long-term target is more than 50,000 private payments per second, with earlier improvements to Common reducing transaction-creation time from over three seconds to under 200 milliseconds in some tests. Udon's release marks the beginning of this integration, though Tachyon still requires further development and a security review before potential activation on the network.
