CZ says YZi Labs' crypto-winter investments in AI payments, robotics, and prediction markets could be among its best performers.
VC & Fundraising ·
YZi Labs, which manages over $10 billion in assets as a family office for Binance founder CZ and co-founder Yi He, has deployed capital into robotics, AI payments, prediction markets, and digital asset custody across 2026. CZ stated that these investments, made during periods of depressed crypto valuations, could rank among the fund's strongest performers going forward, as reported by BeInCrypto.
The disclosed deals span multiple sectors and ticket sizes. YZi Labs led a $52 million round in robotics platform RoboForce in March, participated in a pre-listing investment in custody provider BitGo, backed prediction market platform Predict.fun, committed $8 million to AEON's pre-seed round in May, and invested in fixed-rate lending protocol TermMax in August. The timing reflects a strategy of deploying dry powder during crypto market downturns.
CZ has not released actual returns or performance metrics on any of these positions, leaving his thesis unvalidated by realized results. The portfolio's future performance remains contingent on broader market conditions and the individual success of each underlying asset or protocol.
