Gauntlet Networks raises $125M Series C led by SBI Holdings to expand on-chain risk and yield optimization infrastructure.
VC & Fundraising ·
Gauntlet Networks, a digital asset risk and optimization firm, has closed a Series C funding round of $125 million led by SBI Holdings, the Tokyo-listed financial services company. The capital will support the company's expansion into global markets and its development of on-chain infrastructure serving both retail and institutional participants.
The proceeds will fund three near-term priorities: scaling infrastructure to broaden Gauntlet's role in traditional capital markets, including expanding stablecoin coverage to currencies beyond USD and EUR; growing its global team using AI-supported approaches; and deploying capital to bootstrap and accelerate new on-chain offerings. Gauntlet currently manages vaults across major digital asset markets, with over $1.5 billion in supplied assets, and operates as a risk and optimization engine setting terms for billions in protocol and institutional capital deployment.
SBI Holdings framed the investment as part of its long-term strategy to integrate traditional finance with digital asset infrastructure, citing the global digital asset market cap exceeding $3.5 trillion. The company has signaled plans for a yen-denominated stablecoin rollout in the second half of 2026 and digital asset investment trusts and exchange-traded products as regulatory frameworks develop globally.
