Arthur Hayes releases FLOP Network v0.5.0 draft, an AI inference metering network targeting Q4 2026 testnet with token airdrops and Q1 2027 mainnet.
AI & Agents ·
Arthur Hayes, CEO of Flop Labs and co-founder of BitMEX, has released a draft version of the FLOP Network v0.5.0 yellow paper wublockchain.xyz. The proposal describes an AI inference metering and settlement network, with development planned in phases: testnet in Q4 2026 and mainnet in Q1 2027. Participation in testing will be eligible for token airdrops.
The network is designed using Substrate and FRAME technologies, incorporating BABE for block production and AlephBFT for transaction finality. These architectural choices reflect a focus on decentralized consensus and scalability for inference workloads.
The yellow paper carries a draft status, meaning key parameters and operational mechanisms remain subject to revision before the roadmap milestones are reached. The exact specifications of the airdrop eligibility and mainnet functionality have not yet been finalized.
