Robinhood Chain (Arbitrum Orbit L2) enables AI agents to trade tokenized equities in DeFi, combining agentic trading, RWAs, and non-custodial onchain infrastructure.
AI & Agents ·
Robinhood Chain, an Arbitrum Orbit Layer 2, launched on mainnet July 1, 2026, designed to enable AI agents and tokenized equities trading within a decentralized infrastructure. The chain operates on Ethereum gas and allows users to hold and trade tokenized stocks across 120+ countries directly from standard wallets through decentralized exchanges including Uniswap, Arcus, Rialto, and 1inch, while accessing broader DeFi composability. This extends Robinhood's existing agentic trading capabilities from its traditional brokerage into an onchain, non-custodial model where users retain control of their models, private keys, and trading rules.
The architecture combines three components: AI agents capable of autonomous execution, real-world asset tokenization for equities, and on-chain settlement. Tokenized stock positions remain accessible for 24/7 trading without custodial intermediaries. Waypoint represents the non-custodial onchain instantiation of Robinhood's agentic trading philosophy—users maintain full sovereignty over their wallet, agent instructions, and capital.
The mechanism's breadth across geographies and settlement layers remains untested at scale. Integration depth with existing DeFi protocols, regulatory treatment of tokenized equities across jurisdictions, and actual agent adoption patterns are not yet detailed.
