South Korea's largest exchange Upbit will list Cap (CAP), a stablecoin and onchain credit protocol, across three trading pairs: KRW, BTC, and USDT. Cap operates on a "covered credit" model and issues two dollar-denominated assets—cUSD and yield-bearing stcUSD—with CAP functioning as its governance token. Upbit commands more than 80% of South Korea's cryptocurrency trading volume, making it the country's dominant exchange by that measure.
Concurrently, Bithumb, the country's second-largest exchange, will add Unibase (UB) to its KRW trading market. Unibase is described as a decentralized AI memory and interoperability layer designed to allow autonomous agents to maintain long-term verifiable memory, build on-chain identities, and operate across different platforms.
Both listings represent simultaneous integrations of new token categories into major South Korean venues—a stablecoin protocol and an AI agent infrastructure token—though neither exchange has disclosed trading launch dates or additional market pairs beyond those announced.
