Aave deposits $43.3M TVL to Monad, driving L1's DeFi TVL growth to +13-16% monthly; stablecoin market cap surpasses Sui at $478M as ecosystem attracts payment, prediction, and RWA protocols.

Aave has deployed $43.3 million in total value locked to Monad, marking an initial liquidity influx to the Layer 1 blockchain. This contribution positions Monad as the only chain among the top 14 blockchains to show the highest DeFi TVL growth, with increases between 13 and 16 percent measured over the past month and week. Separately, Monad's stablecoin market cap has risen 4 percent to $478 million, surpassing Sui's stablecoin holdings.
The deployment reflects broader ecosystem momentum: Aave, MetaMask, and Pendle have each made recent commitments to Monad despite current bear market conditions. Additional protocols spanning payment systems, prediction markets, RWA tokenization, lending, yield generation, and consumer applications are reportedly in pipeline. The activity is attributed to Monad's technical design, which supporters claim enables full composability across applications while maintaining high performance, security through formal verification efforts, and efficient consensus.
What remains uncertain is the timeline for incoming protocol launches, the maturity and adoption levels of each use case once deployed, and whether the performance claims and composability advantages will translate into sustained user activity and TVL growth relative to established competitors.
