Binance Wallet adds USDe to Hold to Earn rewards program
DeFi & Yields ·
Binance's Keyless Wallet now pays automatic rewards on held USDe, with the stablecoin offering the highest rate among three eligible assets.
Binance Wallet has launched a Hold to Earn feature that pays rewards directly to users who hold certain stablecoins, without requiring them to stake the tokens, according to an announcement from Ethena. USDe was named one of only three assets eligible for the program, alongside U and USDS, and carries the highest rate of the group at up to 4.75% APR.
Under the mechanism, rewards accrue automatically for wallets that simply hold the asset, with Binance handling the payout rather than requiring users to lock funds through a separate staking process. The feature is being rolled out within Binance's Keyless Wallet product, according to Binance's own announcement, which lists U, USDS, and USDe as the three supported stablecoins at launch.
The move places USDe alongside two other stablecoins in a new distribution channel that ties yield directly to holding rather than active staking or liquidity provision. Multiple accounts describe the same structure — up to 4.75% APR available across the three assets — indicating the terms are consistent across the announcements circulating in the cluster.
The addition expands the venues through which USDe holders can earn yield beyond Ethena's own protocol mechanisms, folding the token into a exchange-wallet-level rewards program. For Binance, the feature adds a competitive angle to its Keyless Wallet offering by advertising the "highest rate available" among the eligible assets.
Not yet detailed in the available material are the specific terms governing the 4.75% APR figure, including whether it is fixed or variable, any caps on reward-eligible holdings, and the duration of the promotional period. It also remains unclear how the automatic reward payouts are funded or whether eligibility is limited to certain wallet tiers or geographies. Further Binance documentation would be needed to clarify these mechanics.
