Elysium mainnet launches in 5 days as an Arbitrum Orbit chain designed to integrate new applications with Hyperliquid's trading infrastructure, featuring token launches, DEX liquidity, onchain options, and tokenized equities with a sequencer revenue model favoring buybacks and ecosystem incentives.

Elysium is set to launch its mainnet within five days as an Arbitrum Orbit chain, built by Kinetiq using Conduit infrastructure and designed to layer new applications atop Hyperliquid's existing trading infrastructure. Early ecosystem participants span token launches (Pump and FOMO), liquidity protocols (Uniswap and Kyber Network), derivatives (DeriveXYZ V3 for onchain options), and equity tokenization (xStocksFi), with the sequencer revenue model directing half of proceeds to kinetiq:native buybacks and burns, a quarter to builder incentives, and a quarter to Kinetiq operations.
The architecture separates concerns: Elysium runs application execution, HyperEVM handles settlement, and HyperCore furnishes access to spot and perpetual order books. A planned HyperCore upgrade, targeted roughly four weeks post-launch, aims to unlock faster trading instruction paths alongside balances and position data, potentially enabling more complex market-making and AMM designs. The chain will use the HYPE token for gas.
Open questions center on execution metrics after November 9: whether transaction costs remain competitive, whether the HyperCore integration arrives on schedule, whether liquidity persists beyond incentive periods, and whether user retention and sequencer revenue growth materialize into sustainable economic activity for the broader Hyperliquid ecosystem. The thesis rests on applications attracting recurring users rather than one-time participants.
