Ethena completes SOC 2 Type II audit with clean opinion, joining Circle, Chainlink, and Aave as rare onchain firms meeting enterprise security standard.
DeFi & Yields ·
Ethena has completed a SOC 2 Type II audit and received a clean opinion with zero exceptions from an independent auditor, confirming the security of its operational controls across access management, change processes, monitoring, and incident response. The achievement places Ethena alongside Circle, Chainlink, and Aave among a very short list of onchain businesses to meet this enterprise-grade standard.
A Type II report differs from Type I certification in that it validates controls operated effectively over time rather than merely confirming their design at a single point in time. The audit scope covers infrastructure and processes supporting Ethena's products and is separate from smart contract audits and security reviews that address the protocol itself. Ethena stated it views rigorous operational security as essential for onchain infrastructure managing large asset volumes and intends to maintain continuous SOC 2 coverage.
The full audit report remains available to partners under non-disclosure agreement. No timeline for public disclosure or additional detail on the audit scope has been announced.
