GRVT launches tokenized fixed-income products offering up to 11% APY while enabling the same balance to serve as trading margin, beginning with 1.1M tokens burned.
DeFi & Yields ·
GRVT has initiated the first phase of its 2.0 rollout by burning 1.1M tokens—roughly 1% of circulating supply at the time—through a buyback program, with execution verifiable on an on-chain dashboard. The protocol is introducing tokenized fixed-income products designed to offer yields targeting 11% APY while allowing the same capital to function simultaneously as trading margin, bringing exposure to the $160T fixed-income market to retail participants through self-custody accounts.
The approach differs from conventional centralized or decentralized finance setups by combining yield generation, margin availability, and custodial control within a single account structure. The token burn serves as an early signal of execution capability, though it remains secondary to the broader strategic question: whether GRVT can mobilize dormant capital into productive assets while maintaining sound risk management as products roll out.
The product launch phase will test whether the protocol can sustain both yield delivery and margin functionality without introducing unmanaged tail risks. Implementation details—including collateral requirements, liquidation mechanics, and actual APY delivery across market conditions—remain to be demonstrated in live operation.
