KuCoin Futures is delisting multiple perpetual contracts and related services effective September 17, 2026.
DeFi & Yields ·
KuCoin Futures will delist multiple perpetual contracts at 7:00 UTC on September 17, 2026, citing the need to mitigate market risks and improve user trading experience. New position openings will halt at 6:50 UTC that day, though position closures will remain available. Upon delisting, all open orders will be canceled and remaining positions will settle based on the average index price over the final 30 minutes before the event.
To manage volatility during the delisting window, KuCoin Futures has modified the mark price mechanism for the last half hour before closure, switching to an average-index-price calculation updated every second. A 180-second smooth transition beginning at 6:30 UTC will blend the new formula with the original to prevent abrupt price jumps. The exchange reserves the right to impose additional protective measures—including leverage adjustments, position limits, or margin requirement changes—if abnormal volatility or suspected price manipulation occurs.
Copy Trading services will delist the affected contracts at 6:00 UTC, while Trading Bot products including Futures Grid and AI Futures Trend will cease at 5:00 UTC on the same date. Users are advised to close positions and disable running bots in advance; those failing to do so risk automatic system shutdown of their bots and potential settlement losses.
