Meow partners with Tempo to enable sub-second stablecoin settlement for business banking and AI agent payments.
DeFi & Yields ·
Meow has partnered with Tempo to deliver stablecoin settlement completing in less than one second, targeting business banking workflows and payments for AI agents and enterprises. The integration enables immediate invoice processing and cross-border fund transfers without the settlement delays typical of traditional financial rails.
Tempo operates as a payments-focused Layer 1 blockchain incubated by Stripe and Paradigm, engineered to handle stablecoin transactions at institutional volume. The network supports throughput exceeding 100,000 transactions per second, achieves finality in approximately 600 milliseconds, and charges less than one-tenth of a cent per transaction. Built-in compliance controls and a validator set including Visa, Stripe, and Standard Chartered position it for regulated enterprise use.
The partnership specifics—including which stablecoin denominations Meow will support on Tempo, deployment timeline, and transaction volume targets—remain undisclosed. Meow's technical integration approach and whether the arrangement involves exclusive or multi-chain settlement have also not been detailed.
