Hyperliquid's HYPE token climbed more than 15% after Intercontinental Exchange announced plans to operate Trade[XYZ]'s Hyperliquid-based perpetual futures in the US through a new retail venue called ICE[XYZ], subject to CFTC approval. ICE acquired a minority stake in Trade[XYZ] and will run the retail market separately from its institutional franchise, which comprises more than 99% of current participation. The planned contracts will cover equities, indices, commodities, currencies, and crypto, with distribution expected through a joint venture between ICE and OKX pending broker-dealer and futures commission merchant approvals.
