Ondo brings 430 tokenized US stocks and ETFs to Uniswap, enabling 24/7 onchain trading with MEV protection and composability across DeFi.
DeFi & Yields ·
Ondo Finance has integrated 430 tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs into Uniswap, enabling round-the-clock trading with MEV protection and gasless execution on public blockchains. The offering includes major equities and funds previously unavailable for onchain trading. However, these are not direct equity ownership—they are tokenized notes fully backed 1:1 by real securities held with U.S. registered broker-dealers, providing price exposure and dividends but not voting rights or ownership stakes.
The infrastructure unlock lies in composability. Once converted to standard ERC-20 assets, these tokenized equities function as collateral in lending protocols, perpetual futures platforms, and yield strategies—opening design possibilities unavailable in traditional markets that operate only during business hours. This 24/7 availability creates a fundamentally different capital formation layer than legacy equities markets.
Friction remains at the entry point. Minting and redeeming still require KYC verification, with restrictions on non-U.S. persons and qualified-investor-only access in the UK, Switzerland, and much of the EEA. The integration aligns with what some have characterized as infrastructure-level democratization within narrower retail availability. Ondo currently reports $1B in TVL and $20B in cumulative trading volume, commanding 70% market share in tokenized equities.
