PayBox, MoonPay's crypto vault service, has integrated Sunrise to enable Solana staking, token swaps, and liquidity provisioning directly within Claude, ChatGPT, and Grok. The integration uses AI agents to prepare transactions, which users then approve via passkeys before execution. MoonPay announced the integration on X.
PayBox operates through an AI vault secured with multi-party computation (MPC) and passkeys, paired with user-defined spending limits to gate transactions. The Sunrise integration extends PayBox's existing model—previously limited to crypto and card payments—into active DeFi operations by letting AI assistants propose and structure Solana-specific transactions across staking, swaps, and liquidity markets. Users retain full control over execution through passkey approval.
The move positions AI chatbots as entry points for hands-on crypto management rather than passive information tools. Whether this integration drives meaningful adoption of Solana DeFi through these interfaces, and how users interact with AI-proposed trades at scale, remains to be determined.
