Bybit adds Brazilian credit card yield product to RWA Earn platform

Plume's nOPAL token, backed by Brazilian credit card receivables, is now live on Bybit RWA Earn, opening the roughly $3 trillion market to the exchange's user base.
Bybit confirmed that nOPAL is available through Bybit RWA Earn, giving its reported 80 million users access to yields tied to receivables settled through Visa and Mastercard networks. The product is provided by Black Opal, with Plume supplying the underlying tokenization infrastructure.
The listing extends Plume's push into real-world asset markets beyond its existing vault ecosystem, which already carries assets from large issuers including Apollo and WisdomTree. Plume has processed more than $1 billion in deposits and redemptions to date while participating in a DTCC working group, and the network holds a Bermuda Class M License along with US SEC Transfer Agent registration, credentials it points to as evidence of regulatory compliance.
Bybit's own announcement of the launch, shared through its official account, included a limited-time 5% APR boost for early participants, a promotional layer on top of whatever base yield the underlying receivables generate. Separate coverage of the listing has cited historical yields on the Brazilian receivables of up to 12%, though that figure reflects past performance rather than a guaranteed return.
Coverage of the launch, including reporting from WuBlockchain, has framed the deal as part of a broader trend of centralized exchanges adding tokenized real-world asset products to retail-facing earn platforms. The structure ties on-chain yield instruments to offline receivables settled through established card networks, a model that depends on the reliability of Black Opal's receivables sourcing and Plume's settlement and compliance layer.
What remains unclear from the available material is the specific yield rate users will receive once the promotional 5% APR boost expires, how withdrawals or redemptions are processed for nOPAL holders, and whether additional real-world asset products will follow on Bybit's platform. The scale of user adoption since launch has also not been disclosed.
