Robinhood Chain DEX volume surged to $1.6 billion with a 61% weekly increase as DeFi deposits reached $800 million.

Decentralized exchange volume on Robinhood Chain reached $1.595 billion in 24-hour trading, marking a 61% surge between late August and early September, according to DeFiLlama data. The Ethereum Layer 2 network simultaneously accumulated $738.11 million in total value locked across DeFi protocols and held nearly $797 million in stablecoins, reflecting rapid capital inflows since the network's July mainnet launch.
The growth represents a substantial escalation from July activity, when the network recorded roughly $433 million in daily DEX volume and $94 million in TVL. Daily perpetual futures volume reached $353.96 million, while $2.524 billion in assets have been bridged to the network overall. The jump suggests widening participation beyond the tokenized stocks Robinhood initially designed the chain to support, though meme coins have driven much of the recent trading activity.
What remains unclear is whether the surge reflects sustained organic adoption or temporary momentum from new users and capital. The extent to which tokenized stock trading versus speculative tokens continues to dominate volumes, and whether the network can retain these metrics as market conditions evolve, remain open questions.
