Uniswap launches Aggregator Hooks to source liquidity from seven rival DEXs, generating protocol fees that burn UNI tokens.

Uniswap launched Aggregator Hooks on October 22, 2026, integrating seven external liquidity pools across Ethereum, Base, and Robinhood Chain. The feature allows Uniswap to capture protocol fees from trades executed through competing DEX platforms, with collected revenue directed toward UNI token destruction. The connected liquidity sources represent more than 90 percent of decentralized exchange volume across those networks and include Curve, Fluid, Pancakeswap V3, and Slipstream.
The mechanism treats outside liquidity as native Uniswap v4 pools within a single settlement transaction, with price quotes refreshing per block and no additional token approvals required. This builds on Uniswap's December 2025 UNIfication initiative, which activated protocol fee collection and established TokenJar contracts for fee accumulation. A parallel Firepit system requires UNI destruction before withdrawal of those assets, while the initiative also authorized a one-time 100 million UNI treasury burn.
The Aggregator Hooks are already live through Uniswap's Web App and API, though the protocol plans to expand to additional networks and liquidity sources. For competing DEX protocols, the arrangement creates a dual dynamic: increased trading volume from Uniswap users flows through their pools, yet protocol fees feed into a rival's token-burn system.
