Uniswap v4 launches Permissioned Pools feature enabling compliant trading of tokenized securities and regulated assets through onchain allowlist checks.

Uniswap has rolled out Permissioned Pools as part of its v4 launch, a feature designed to facilitate compliant onchain trading of regulated assets including tokenized securities, funds, and equities through allowlist verification mechanisms. The rollout includes partnerships with Superstate, Securitize, and Dowgo to support this use case.
The technical implementation leverages onchain checks to restrict pool access to approved participants, addressing regulatory requirements for asset classes that cannot trade in fully open markets. Critically, the introduction of permissioned pools does not alter existing Uniswap v4 functionality—standard permissionless pools continue to operate unchanged alongside the new compliant infrastructure.
The announcement signals movement toward bridging traditional regulated assets with decentralized exchange mechanics, though the practical adoption rate and regulatory clarity across jurisdictions remain to be tested in live trading conditions.
