Coinbase adds Grass (GRASS) spot trading on Solana network
Ecosystem ·
Coinbase confirmed it will open spot markets for Grass on 26 August 2026, pending liquidity checks in eligible regions.
According to a post from Coinbase Markets, the GRASS-USD pair is set to begin trading later on the same day the listing takes effect, contingent on liquidity thresholds being met wherever the market is supported. The token will be reachable through coinbase.com, the Coinbase mobile app, and Coinbase Advanced, giving retail users several entry points once the pair is active.
Institutional participants get a separate route: Coinbase Exchange will offer direct access to Grass for that segment, separate from the consumer-facing app and web interfaces. The exchange also published the token's on-chain identifier, a Solana SPL contract address, Grass7B4RdKfBCjTKgSqnXkqjwiGvQyFbuSCUJr3XXjs, and warned that sending the asset over any network other than Solana risks permanent loss of funds.
A second account tracking new listings independently flagged Grass as showing up on Coinbase with Solana network support, aligning with the exchange's own announcement and bringing the count of distinct sources describing the listing to two. The overlap suggests the listing detail, including the network choice, was consistent across the reports rather than appearing on only one feed.
What remains unclear from the available material is how the token performed once the GRASS-USD pair actually opened, since the announcement only sets the conditional launch window rather than confirming trading volume or price action. Also unaddressed is whether Coinbase plans to extend the pair to additional regions beyond the initial supported set, or whether further trading pairs for Grass will follow the initial GRASS-USD listing.
