Quant (QNT) surged 400% to $357 following a Clearing House partnership, driven by record whale activity and growing on-chain engagement, though overbought conditions pose short-term risks.

Quant (QNT) climbed nearly 400% from $74 to $357 over less than a week following an announcement that The Clearing House selected the project to support its On-Chain Money Initiative, a system designed to help financial institutions clear and settle tokenized deposit transactions. The Clearing House processes over $2 trillion in daily transactions across its payment networks. The token later retreated to $241 but remained substantially elevated from its starting point.
On-chain engagement and institutional interest drove much of the move. Whale transactions reached 645 on September 28—a record high—while active addresses surged from 2,064 to 14,458 between September 25 and 27, suggesting that the market's response lagged the initial announcement by several days rather than reacting immediately to news. Dollar-denominated open interest increased roughly nine times over the same window, though much of that dollar-value gain reflected the rising price itself.
Technical signals now point to near-term caution. The Relative Strength Index briefly approached 100 before settling around 74, indicating overbought conditions, while elevated funding rates suggest leveraged traders are betting on continued upside. Traders monitoring the position note that consolidation or price cooling could establish a more sustainable foundation for further gains.
