Upbit lists Derive (DRV), the rebranded Lyra Finance onchain options protocol, on South Korea's largest exchange with multiple trading pairs.
Ecosystem ·
Upbit, South Korea's largest crypto exchange, will begin trading Derive's DRV token on July 14 at 17:00 Korea time, offering three pairs against KRW, BTC, and USDT. Derive is the rebranded version of onchain options protocol Lyra Finance, having migrated from its original LYRA token in 2024 as part of a broader rebranding effort. The protocol currently operates in onchain options and perpetual futures trading.
The listing marks Derive's entry into South Korea's major exchange ecosystem, potentially expanding its user base across the region. The simultaneous availability of fiat and crypto trading pairs suggests the exchange is positioning the token for both institutional and retail accessibility.
It remains unclear what specific volumes or market-making arrangements Upbit has committed to, or whether additional Korean exchanges plan similar listings. The long-term impact on DRV liquidity and trading activity post-launch has not been detailed.
