Upbit to add FOLD trading in three currency pairs
Ecosystem ·
South Korea's largest exchange will open KRW, BTC, and USDT markets for Interfold's FOLD token later this month.
Upbit plans to bring Interfold (FOLD) onto its platform with three separate trading pairs, according to wublockchain.xyz. The new markets—KRW, BTC, and USDT—are set to go live at 12:30 p.m. on August 23.
Deposits and withdrawals for the token will run on the Ethereum network, per the listing details. FOLD serves as the native asset of The Interfold, described as a privacy-computing network.
The move gives FOLD access to one of Asia's most active retail trading bases, since Upbit holds the position of South Korea's top crypto exchange by size. Listing across won, bitcoin, and stablecoin pairs simultaneously broadens the token's liquidity options from the outset rather than phasing in currencies over time.
Coverage of the listing has been picked up across four distinct sources tracking the announcement, pointing to broader attention on the exchange's decision. The report does not specify trading volume projections, initial price levels, or additional exchange listings beyond Upbit.
Not yet disclosed is how the market will react once trading opens on August 23, nor whether Interfold has plans for further exchange integrations. Details on the project's broader roadmap, token supply, or use cases tied to its privacy-computing framework remain outside the scope of current reporting.
