Virtu Financial joins BitGo Prime's liquidity network to integrate institutional crypto trading with regulated custody solutions.
Ecosystem ·
Virtu Financial has joined BitGo Prime's liquidity network, connecting institutional crypto trading capabilities with regulated custody infrastructure. The partnership integrates execution services with BitGo's OCC-regulated digital asset trust bank, positioning Virtu traders to access custody and settlement rails designed for institutional compliance requirements.
BitGo operates as a wholesale provider of digital asset infrastructure, operating regulated entities including BitGo Bank & Trust in the United States and BitGo Europe GmbH in Germany. The platform already embedded in other trading and exchange platforms, allowing them to rely on its custody and off-exchange settlement capabilities. BitGo secures a material portion of on-chain Bitcoin transaction value, underscoring its scale in institutional crypto market structure.
The specifics of how Virtu will use the Prime liquidity network—whether for dedicated trading pairs, settlement velocity, or other execution features—remain undisclosed. Terms of the arrangement and expected launch timing have not been announced.
