Israel's Bank Leumi partners with Galaxy Digital to offer BTC, ETH, and SOL trading via its retail app, launching early 2027.

Bank Leumi has entered into a partnership with Galaxy Digital to enable its customers to trade Bitcoin, Ether, and Solana directly through the Leumi Trade app, with the service rolling out in early 2027. The Israeli bank becomes the first in its country to publicly commit to offering such direct crypto trading capabilities. Customers of both Bank Leumi and PEPPER, its mobile banking subsidiary, will gain access to a dedicated digital asset section within the existing capital markets application.
Galaxy Digital will supply the underlying trading infrastructure via GalaxyOne Institutional, its platform built for institutional clients including banks and asset managers. The partnership also covers custody services; Bank Leumi has contracted Galaxy's Custody Infrastructure platform, formerly called GK8, to handle asset safekeeping. Bank Leumi's Head of Strategy framed the move as part of the institution's innovation roadmap, emphasizing the aim to provide customers with regulated on-ramp access to digital assets integrated into traditional banking channels.
The timeline and specific regulatory path remain unclear—the announcement does not detail any Israeli regulatory approvals already secured or pending, nor does it specify which assets beyond the three named cryptocurrencies may eventually be included. Galaxy Israel's leadership positioned the deal as a model for the company's broader push to supply infrastructure to banks globally, though no additional bank partnerships have yet been disclosed.
