US spot Bitcoin ETFs post largest daily inflow since January
Macro & Markets ·
Net inflows of $731 million on September 3 mark the strongest single day for the funds in about nine months, with BlackRock's IBIT accounting for the bulk of the total.
US spot Bitcoin ETFs took in $731 million in net inflows, according to The Block, which described the figure as the largest single-day inflow since January. BlackRock's IBIT alone drew $454 million of that total, making it the dominant contributor among the group of US spot funds tracked that day.
The rebound in demand followed a period of subdued flows into the products, and several accounts tied the jump to dovish commentary from the Federal Reserve. That combination of monetary-policy signaling and renewed appetite for regulated Bitcoin exposure appears to have driven investors back into the ETF wrapper after months of comparatively muted activity.
The move was not confined to Bitcoin funds. wublockchain.xyz reported that Ethereum spot ETFs also saw inflows on the same day, taking in $141 million, suggesting the renewed interest in crypto-linked ETF products extended beyond Bitcoin alone.
Multiple outlets converged on figures in the same range, with some reporting $731 million and others putting the total closer to $740 million and describing it as the largest single day in nine months. The minor variance in the headline number likely reflects differences in reporting cutoffs or data providers rather than a substantive disagreement about the scale of the move.
What remains unclear is whether the September 3 surge represents a durable shift in demand for spot Bitcoin ETFs or a short-lived reaction to the Fed's tone. Subsequent daily flow data, along with any follow-through in IBIT's share of total inflows, will indicate whether the largest-inflow-since-January milestone marks the start of a sustained trend or a one-off spike tied to a single policy signal.
