Bybit discontinuing ICX (Icon) as collateral and lending asset.
Regulation & Gov ·
Bybit will end support for ICX (Icon) as a collateral and lending asset beginning September 7, 2026, according to the exchange's announcement. The delisting unfolds in two phases: borrowing and lending services including UTA borrowing, crypto loans, and the savings product will halt on September 2, while collateral acceptance and loan-to-value calculations will terminate on September 7.
Users holding ICX debt must settle all outstanding balances before the September 7 cutoff; failure to do so will trigger forced repayment that may result in losses. Positions in Bybit Savings will be automatically redeemed, with principal and accrued yield returned to funding accounts. The exchange advises users to monitor maintenance margin rates and loan-to-value ratios closely to prevent unintended liquidation during the transition window.
The reason for discontinuing ICX support remains unspecified. No timeline has been announced for whether ICX trading itself will continue or cease on the platform.
