Bybit discontinuing ZIL as collateral and lending asset.
DeFi & Yields ·
Bybit will discontinue ZIL as a collateralizable and loanable asset starting September 7, 2026, 8:00 AM UTC. The exchange is suspending all borrowing and lending services for ZIL—including Borrowing (UTA), Crypto Loans, and Bybit Savings—effective September 2, 2026, 8:00 AM UTC, five days ahead of the collateral removal date.
Users holding ZIL liabilities must repay them before the September 7 deadline. Any outstanding ZIL loans that remain unpaid after that time will trigger automatic repayment, which the exchange warns may result in potential asset losses. Positions using ZIL as collateral will also be affected; the exchange advises users to monitor their maintenance margin rate and loan-to-value ratios to avoid liquidation. ZIL staked in Bybit Savings will be automatically transferred to users' Funding Accounts.
The announcement does not specify reasons for the delisting of ZIL from these services or whether the asset will remain tradeable on spot or derivatives markets.
