First staked Tron ETF begins trading in the US

The Canary Staked TRX ETF, ticker TRXS, launched Wednesday as the first US-listed product offering exposure to Tron staking rewards.
The fund gives investors a way to hold exposure to TRX while capturing staking yield through a regulated, exchange-traded structure rather than running their own validator or delegating tokens directly on-chain, according to The Block. TRXS is described as the first staked Tron ETF to hit US markets, a milestone for a token whose main use case has largely been powering low-cost transfers of USDT and other stablecoins on Tron's delegated proof-of-stake network.
The launch arrives alongside other moves pulling TRX further into regulated financial infrastructure. Anchorage Digital has begun offering institutional custody and staking services for TRX, and Tron-related assets have also drawn interest from World Liberty Financial, which has acquired TRX for its treasury holdings as part of a broader diversification of assets. Separately, Justin Sun has rolled out TRX Earn on Telegram, a product offering boosted annual yields of up to 13.61%, combining a base staking reward with a limited 60-day bonus for new users โ a reminder that staking incentives for TRX are being pushed through both retail-facing consumer products and, now, traditional exchange-listed vehicles.
The ETF structure matters because it removes technical barriers that have kept staking yield largely confined to crypto-native wallets and exchanges. Investors who buy TRXS through a brokerage account gain exposure to TRX price movements and staking rewards without managing private keys, delegating to validators, or navigating Tron's resource model directly. That is notable given Tron's role as one of the largest venues for TRC-20 USDT transfers, a market that underpins a stablecoin ecosystem The Block's coverage situates within a broader landscape approaching ninety billion dollars in stablecoin market capitalization.
The launch also lands amid unresolved regulatory questions around Tron's ecosystem more broadly. A person claiming to be connected to Justin Sun's early entrepreneurial period has said she is willing to cooperate with an SEC investigation and to submit records intended to support allegations of market manipulation tied to Sun. It is not yet clear what bearing, if any, that matter has on TRXS or on other regulated products tied to TRX, including the Anchorage custody arrangement.
What remains to be seen is how trading volume and assets under management develop for TRXS in its early weeks, whether other issuers move to list competing staked Tron products, and whether regulatory scrutiny of Sun affects investor appetite for TRX-linked ETFs going forward.
