Nvidia, Nike, Costco and nine other major companies object to tokenized stock trading on the OKX-ICE venue, bringing total objections to 50.
Regulation & Gov ·
Twelve companies including Nvidia, Costco, and Nike filed objections to the OKX-ICE tokenized stock trading venue, raising total objections to 50 as of October 30. Under the SEC's innovation exemption, companies have 30 days to block third-party tokenized versions of their shares from trading on a specific venue. The objectors span hardware, cybersecurity, retail, and energy sectors, though major firms like Apple, Tesla, and Amazon have not yet joined the list. The venue, a joint venture between Intercontinental Exchange and OKX's U.S. entity, plans to enable around-the-clock stock trading through permissioned pools on OKX's XLayer blockchain.
