OKX and NYSE parent ICE joint venture files to launch 24/7 tokenized U.S. stock trading under SEC innovation exemption.

OKX and Intercontinental Exchange's joint venture has filed notice with the SEC to operate a 24/7 trading venue for tokenized U.S. stocks under the regulator's Innovation Exemption framework. The platform plans to list more than 60 equities—including Nvidia, Tesla, Apple, Microsoft and SpaceX—each paired with USDC, USDG or USDT for trading on XLayer, a layer-2 blockchain using permissioned Uniswap v4 pools. Chipmaker Cerebras Systems has already submitted an objection to prevent its shares from trading on the venue, which sources third-party tokenization without requiring company consent under the exemption's 30-day objection window.
