XRP drops toward $1.00 amid weak ETF inflows, while XRP Ledger's RWA holdings surge to $4.4B and Ripple gains MiCA compliance.
Regulation & Gov ·
XRP faces sustained selling pressure and has approached $1.002, its lowest level in nearly two years, as Bitcoin stabilizes around $64,000. The downturn reflects minimal institutional interest, with spot XRP ETFs attracting only $1 million in inflows and two trading days recording no reportable activity. The weakness contrasts sharply with positive developments elsewhere in the Ripple ecosystem.
The XRP Ledger has recorded a 400% surge in tokenized real-world assets, which now total $4.4 billion, driven largely by Argentina's Jusoken electricity token which commands 51% of on-chain RWA holdings. Ripple itself secured a full MiCA license in early July, enabling regulated financial institutions across the EU to access its payments infrastructure. The company has characterized regulatory clarity as foundational to institutional confidence.
Despite these ecosystem gains, XRP's price weakness persists. The token failed at $1.10 weeks prior and has not recovered from subsequent declines, including a slip following delays to the CLARITY Act. Whether XRP can hold above the $1.00 psychological support level—and what would be required to reignite institutional capital flows—remains uncertain.
