Solana becomes the largest blockchain by RWA holder count with 300,000+ holders and $3.3B in tokenized real-world assets across 2,120+ tokens.
RWA & Tokenization ·
Solana has surpassed other major blockchains to hold the largest count of real-world asset (RWA) holders, with over 300,000 accounts now participating in tokenized asset holdings on the network. According to data from rwa.xyz, the ecosystem supports more than 2,120 distinct tokenized real-world assets valued at approximately $3.3 billion in aggregate, positioning it ahead of competitors including Plume, Ethereum, and BNB Chain by holder numbers alone.
The expansion reflects broader institutional momentum in blockchain-based securities. In June 2026, Solana captured $3.47 billion in tokenized equity trading volume—a monthly record—and accounted for more than 96% of cross-chain tokenized equity volume during that period. A redemption mechanism already operates through certain tokenized stock products on Solana, enabling holders to exchange tokens for underlying shares directly.
Institutional validation has accelerated the shift: in mid-July 2026, the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation executed live tokenized securities trades involving over 30 firms including BlackRock, Goldman Sachs, J.P. Morgan, and others, with the DTCC planning a full Tokenization Service rollout for October 2026. What remains unclear is whether holder growth will sustain at current velocity and how redemption mechanisms will scale across the broader ecosystem.
