Security & Exploits ·
An exploit of LBP Protocol resulted in the extraction of approximately $145,000 USDT, according to an onchain message posted to the Binance Smart Chain. The LBP team has initiated a white-hat negotiation, proposing that the exploiter return 85% of the funds (~$123,250) while retaining 15% (~$21,750) as a bug bounty, with no legal action pursued if the terms are accepted.
The proposal includes a 72-hour deadline for the exploiter to respond either by submitting a transaction with specific calldata or by contacting the team at ithinkm@gmail.com from a private key-controlled email address. The message specifies that the exploit targeted the contract at 0x888841b1DC93CC25c6A193AC63C804F197888888 across two separate transactions.
Should the exploiter decline or remain silent after three days, the LBP team states it will escalate the matter to SEAL 911, Chainalysis, BSC law enforcement, and major cryptocurrency exchange security teams for fund tracing and potential freezing. The outcome of the negotiation and whether the exploiter responds remain unknown.
