South Korea's two largest crypto exchanges, Upbit and Bithumb, flagged The Sandbox (SAND) token as a caution asset on Aug. 24 citing unresolved security incidents potentially involving wallet or ledger breaches. Bithumb will decide between Sept. 28 and Oct. 2 whether to maintain the designation, lift it, or discontinue SAND trading altogether. The Sandbox operates as a blockchain-based virtual world and gaming platform enabling users to create, own, and trade digital assets and virtual land.
