Aerodrome publishes full launch codebase ahead of Aug 31 audit contest.

Aerodrome has released its complete launch codebase ahead of an audit contest scheduled to conclude on August 31. The move signals preparation for a security review phase before the protocol's mainnet deployment, part of a staged rollout strategy that includes multiple audit rounds.
Aerodrome is Base blockchain's dominant decentralized exchange, built on vote-escrowed tokenomics where protocol revenue flows to long-term AERO token holders rather than short-term liquidity providers. The protocol uses a reflexive incentive model: traders pay fees that accrue to veAERO holders, who vote weekly on which liquidity pools receive AERO emissions, attracting more providers and generating additional fees. Since launch in August 2023, Aerodrome has maintained the largest total value locked on Base, surpassing all other DEXes combined at its peak.
The August 31 audit contest and subsequent security phases precede the planned July 2026 launch, which introduces Predictive Allocation, a new liquidity incentive model rewarding users for forecasting future demand. Whether the protocol can sustain growth beyond subsidy-driven liquidity remains an open question, particularly as it expands to other blockchains including Ethereum.
