Leap, a mobile trading application from Solana Labs built by the team behind Dialect, launched a beta version on iPhone allowing users to trade tokenized stocks, ETFs, metals, currencies, and cryptocurrency on the Solana blockchain. Available through Apple's TestFlight program with Android coming later, the app targets traders seeking alternatives to meme coin speculation and positions itself around long-term, informed decision-making rather than rapid-fire speculation.
The platform integrates curated market news pinned to price charts and displays comprehensive profit-and-loss calculations across all positions, trades, and fees. Trades route through Jupiter, with infrastructure support from Helius and market data from Birdeye. Leap currently charges no fees at launch, though network and routing costs apply; future revenue will fund SOL buyback-and-burn mechanics and a referral program offering early "Founders Club" members up to 30% of fees from invited users.
Solana Labs acquired Dialect earlier this year, the team behind Solana Actions and Blinks, a protocol enabling blockchain transactions as shareable links launched in 2024. The app's general manager cited Solana's roughly 150-millisecond block confirmation time following Alpenglow, a consensus upgrade. Android availability and geographic expansion remain pending, with the app unavailable in the U.K. and certain other regions.
