Lido integrates CoW Swap for cross-chain token swaps on Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base with Chainlink-powered price protection.

Lido has integrated CoW Swap to enable token swaps across Ethereum, Arbitrum, and Base, with price protection powered by Chainlink for larger trades. The integration allows users to swap tokens natively within the Lido ecosystem across these three networks, leveraging CoW Protocol's batch-auction settlement model to route orders efficiently.
CoW Protocol settles trades through periodic batch auctions where professional competitors called solvers compete to find optimal execution paths. Rather than executing trades one at a time against liquidity pools, the protocol bundles pending orders and matches them directly when possible—such as pairing a user wanting to sell ETH for USDC with another wanting the reverse—allowing both parties to capture the full spread. When no direct match exists, solvers route through on-chain AMMs and other liquidity sources to achieve the best available price.
The addition of Chainlink-powered price protection appears designed to safeguard larger trade sizes from adverse price movements during settlement. The specific mechanics of how this protection operates alongside CoW's batch model, and whether it applies to all trade sizes or only above certain thresholds, remain unclear from available information.
