Chainlink expands APAC Equities Streams to cover $40T+ in markets across China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.
RWA & Tokenization ·
Chainlink has expanded its APAC Equities Streams product to cover markets representing $40 trillion or more across five jurisdictions: China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. The expansion enables price feeds for regional equities on the blockchain, extending Chainlink's oracle infrastructure into major Asian financial markets.
Equities Streams are data products that bring traditional stock price information onchain, allowing blockchain applications and smart contracts to access real-time equity data. This expansion reflects a broader trend of tokenized equities and real-world asset infrastructure maturing across crypto platforms, as traditional finance and decentralized systems increasingly integrate. Multiple projects—from crypto exchanges to blockchain networks—are building onchain equity trading capabilities and settlement mechanisms.
The specific mechanisms Chainlink will use to aggregate and verify price data across these five markets, and the timeline for full availability, remain unclear from available announcements. It is also not yet specified which individual stocks or indices the Streams will initially cover within each region.
