Robinhood Chain sees deposit growth but declining active users and volume as initial memecoin hype fades.
Tech & Launches ·
Robinhood Chain's active user base is contracting even as deposit levels grow, signaling a divergence between capital inflow and actual engagement on the network. Daily active accounts averaged around 275,000, representing a 7% decline week-over-week, according to recent data.
The chain experienced rapid growth during its initial launch phase, driven largely by memecoin speculation and trading activity. That momentum, however, appears to have peaked and is now cooling—deposit growth has not translated into sustained user participation or elevated trading volumes on the network.
The divergence raises questions about retention and actual utility. It remains unclear whether the deposit inflows represent long-term capital commitment or temporary positioning ahead of further market moves, and whether the decline in active accounts will stabilize or accelerate in coming weeks.
